Overview
ADF P700 STATCOM systems are highly modular and designed for ease of maintenance and redundancy. They are available between 1 MVA and 10 MVA compensation power. Several units can be operated in parallel to achieve higher power levels. Under certain circumstances, the system can be configured as a back-to-back converter for effective isolation of two electrical networks in sensitive applications such as semiconductor fabrication and in wind power installations to maintain stable power flow and line voltage.
Self-contained and capable of withstanding harsh weather conditions
The ADF P700 STATCOM can be supplied in a self-contained building with the external form factor of a 20 foot or 40 foot container. It is climate controlled and thermally insulated, thus capable of functioning stably despite harsh weather conditions. The container shape of the system makes it well suited for transport to remote sites by ship, railway, truck, as well as by air freight.
The modularity, ruggedness, fast response and redundancy makes the ADF P700 STATCOM an ideal choice for compensation of demanding applications such as harbor cranes, mills, electric arc furnaces (EAFs), railway traction systems and as a temporary mobile voltage restoring solution.

This feature also provides the added benefit of keeping uptime high. The standard components used in this unit provide a highly reliable solution with the lowest total cost of ownership of any STATCOM solution.
